(Park HIlls, MO.) Two bridges in Park HIlls now bear the names of a couple of individuals from the town who left their mark on the city's history. The new bridge at St. Joe Drive, next to the studios of KFMO B104, is now dedicated to the memory of our late News Director, Gibb Collins. The President of St. Francois County Special Road District #2, John Clark, says Collins was an important part of Park HIlls with the news he shared and the service he provided the community.
The second bridge to be dedicated was the 7th Street Bridge over Koen Creek. It was dedicated to the memory of William J. Hoppe, who was President of Road District #2. Hoppe's daughter Catheryn Hoppe, says her father simply wanted to help people and improve the community.
Their are signs facing both directions of traffic on the bridges naming them for their dedication in memory of Hoppe and Collins.
