(Jefferson City, MO) The State of Missouri, and the member owned health care services company, Vizient, are joining together to help bring more health care staff to the state and expand the capacity of our hospitals. Governor Mike Parson gave a press briefing on the topic Wednesday. Parson says state officials have continually been monitoring Missouri's health care system and have focused on supporting health care workers and hospitals as much as possible.
Parson also said since March the state has waived over 600 regulations on hospital capabilities and staffing regulations. The daily average amount of new cases of COVID19 in Missouri is 2,827 with the number of deaths at 11.
