(Park HIlls, MO) No injuries are being reported after a fire destroyed an apartment building on in the 600 block of Railroad Avenue Tuesday night. Reports show the Park Hills Fire Department was called out at 10:30 and when firefighters arrived flames were shooting through the roof of part of the building. The complex was a converted warehouse building and firemen were able to save the warehouse portion. The occupants of two of the apartments were not home at the time of the blaze. There was someone in another apartment. They made it out safely. Firefighters were on the scene until 1 o'clock. The Park HIlls Fire Department received assistance from the Desloge, Farmington, Leadington, Big River Bonne Terre, Bismarck, Leadwood, Doe Run, Wolf Creek, Weingarten, Cherokee Pass, and Pilot Knob fire departments. Park Hills Fire Chief Brad Weiss tells KFMO B104 News the cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshal.
