(Park Hills, MO.) Park Hills City employees will see a rise in their cost of health insurance after last night's city council meeting. City Administrator, Mark McFarland, says the old plan was going up 39% so council members decided to look for another provider.
According to McFarland the annual deductible for the insurance went up from $500 to $1000 and the new plan will require an increased monthly payment from employees to help offset the coast. In other business at this week's Park Hills City Council meeting the date of Tuesday, August 25th, was set for the city budget work session which includes time for public comment on the property tax rate for the new fiscal year.
