Mineral Area College and CMU

(Park Hills, MO.) The 30th anniversary of the partnership between Mineral Area College, and Central Methodist University, is being celebrated by officials from both colleges. The union was celebrated at this afternoon's meeting of the MAC Board of Trustees. The President of Mineral Area College, Dr. Joe Gilgour, says having CMU and MAC together in the Parkland brings an incredible degree advantage to students.

CMU's Dr. Roger Drake and Dr. Rita Gulstad were on hand to receive the award. In other business funding from the state was discussed. It was noted Governor Mike Parson doesn't have an increase of funding for Community Colleges around the state in his new budget yet area legislators are working with his budget committee to outline additional possibilities. The latest enrollment figures were presented to the board. MAC is down 138 credit hours from last spring's enrollment figures.
