(Farmington, MO.) Farmington residents will vote on two sales tax issues in the June 2nd elections. The taxes are a 1/4 cent transportation and 1/4 cent parks, recreation, and stormwater sales tax. Those taxes are set to expire in the year 2022. City Administrator, Greg Beavers, says they would like to pass the renewal of the taxes this year to give city officials time to plan future budgeting opportunities.
The issue was to have come before voters in April yet that election was moved to June after the coronavirus pandemic forced stay at home orders through the normal election cycle. Tune in for election night coverage next Tuesday evening, June 2nd, after the polls close on AM 1240 with KFMO B104 News.
