(Farmington, Mo) - The Dollar General Stores will not build a new location at a proposed site off Highway H at Farmington. City Administrator, Greg Beavers, says council members voted not to approve a zoning change that would have allowed a local developer to rezone a portion of land that fronts the highway so the business could locate there.
In other business from Monday night's Farmington City Council meeting Harry Peterson was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Ward 2 councilman, Dennis Robinson. Counci members also approved an ordinance setting up the Show Me Courts automation software and amending the municipal code to impose a 7 dollar automation surcharge on municipal cases.
