(Desloge, MO) The State Street improvement project in Desloge should be starting around June 1st now that aldermen have chosen Lappe's Cement and Finishing as the contractor. The City Administrator for Desloge, Dan Bryan, says there is a lot of storm water work tat will need to be done.
According to Bryan the State Street sewer lines under the new work need attention so aldermen are looking into a process that blows a material into the existing lines that would line the inside of the pipe with essentially a new material extending its life. That should save the city about $70,000. The construction work on State Street is budgeted at a little over $1.8 million dollars.
