(St. Francois County, MO) St. Francois County residents will be required to wear face mask in public beginning Monday, September 21st after St. Francois County Health Department board members approved the new rule at a special meeting Tuesday afternoon. The Executive Director of the St. Francois County Health Center, Amber Elliot, says board members understand the divisive nature of the rule however, they also understand there are some people that will die from the virus and they are who we need to be thinking of.
There was a crowd over 100 people at Farmington's Centene Center to voice their opinions and concerns. Many carried signs of protest against the mandate. Of the members of the public who signed to give their opinions at the meeting most were against the rule. The board vote was nota unanimous decision.
