(Park HIlls, MO) Efforts are still underway to look ahead and keep theater in the community as budget cuts at Mineral Area College are set to take effect in a few months. The Director of Theater at Mineral Area College, Chuck Gallaher, says people are telling him they want to try to help continue the program. Gallaher adds active support is necessary to move forward.
Gallaher says he feels the pandemic has played a large part in the loss of funding for the college. Several departments are being cut yet will continue operations until the new budget goes into effect later this year.
