OH, DEER
DEC 20, 2021
A real deer knows an imposter when they see one. A woman in British Columbia says a Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer decoration in her front yard is an irresistible target for aggressive local deer.
Arlene Chmelyk of Fort Nelson says her family first repurposed the 3D archery target into “Rudolph the Red-Nosed White-Tail” about five years ago, and they quickly learned the local deer disliked the lawn ornament. Chemlyk recently shared a video on Facebook showing a buck attacking the plastic deer and knocking him over.
She told CBC News, “Every year a buck in the area attacks him or hit and knocks him over and breaks him.” She thinks it’s because the bucks, who are in rutting season, might only pay attention to the decoration’s antlers. She adds her family plans to keep repairing and displaying Rudolph despite the repeated attacks.

Rudoph is still being bullied. Sad.
Luv you, bye.
