(Park Hills, Mo) - This Friday marks 19 years since the terrorist attacks on the United States that took place September 11th, 2001. In remembrance of that day and the nearly 3,000 Americans killed, officials with the Mineral Area Council on the Arts are holding a Patriotic Concert at the Mineral Area College Theater on the main campus in Park Hills. The Executive Director of the Council, Scottye Adkins, says an Army band was going to play for the show yet the coronavirus has caused them to cancel. Adkins explains they were able to get a local group of musicians to fill in.
Seating capacity will be limited to 50% of the theater's maximum capacity, which is 312 people. That would allow seating for 156 people total for the concert. The photo exhibit, which has been on display at MAC, is open at noon Friday.
