Park Hills Still Waiting for Funds

(Park HIlls, MO) Park Hills officials are is still waiting on the city's portion of the $7.8 Million Dollars of Federal CARES Act Funds sent to St. Francois County. Park Hills City Administrator, Mark McFarland, says the funds are for St. Francois County yet the money is being distributed by the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission. According to McFarland he doesn't know when the commission will release the money the city has already been approved to receive.

McFarland went on to say that neighboring Washington county distributed their funds by the end of the summer, while Cole and several other nearby counties distributed their funds immediately based on their population. Many counties did not use an outside entity to distribute its funds.
